Still alive

So, I just got an XBox 360. And consequently, I just got XBox Live. And consequently started a gamertag and such. I don’t have many games yet (Incredible Hulk, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Beautiful Katamari, and Fable–plus TMNT on Live Arcade), but feel free to look me up and join my Avengers or something. It’s Eratosthenes83, because I was tired and my favorite obscure Greek mathematician was on my mind for some reason.
Get Gears of War, or the soon to come out sequel, and I’ll join you in shooting aliens.
Eh. I played a couple of hours of Gears and felt I’d pretty much seen all it had to offer. But that’s just me.If I was ever connected to Live, I’d look you up. When we move in January, hopefully to a house where the Xbox is inside the house and I can connect it to the net, I’ll definitely look you up.And good call on Katamari. What a wonderful game. I also recommend Assassin’s Creed and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition.
That’s odd.I loved Assassin’s Creed. I thought it was gorgeous and a great story. But the game play itself was far more repetitive than Gears was.
I’m not at all a fan of this new breed of “gritty” violent “mature” shooters. I get bored quickly with a game whose charisma is tied up in how Xtreme it is, and that’s a feeling I, personally, got from Gears.I’ll give you that Assassin’s Creed was repetitive, but I enjoyed repetitive stealth/freerunning gameplay over repetitive run-shoot-cover-run-shoot gameplay. Like I said, it’s just me.
I’ll play some Ultimate Alliance with ya.I’ll be using my brother’s Live account (no sense paying for two, you know?); keep an eye out for MeatBombMMB.Dibs on Deadpool!
Gamertag: Fruitsauce
“I’ll give you that Assassin’s Creed was repetitive, but I enjoyed repetitive stealth/freerunning gameplay over repetitive run-shoot-cover-run-shoot gameplay.”No, that makes sense. Unfortunately, AC is not a multiplayer game, so no stealth running with a buddy.
I should see about getting an Xbox, sometime. Probably need some good game recommendations, and I’m fairly interested in some indie games that have made it onto XBox live. Heard Braid’s good.Oh, and Tom, tag.
I’ve read all the hype about Braid and I don’t get it. It’s a 2D platformer that uses time-changing mechanics that Prince of Persia: Sands of Time did years ago. What’s so damn special and super-innovative about that?

What’s so damn special and super-innovative about that?Special and super-innovative it’s not. What it is is Mario with the time-powers from Prince of Persia. Which, as you might guess, is pretty awesome. The game’s not as incredible as it obviously thinks it is, and at times it’s a little Nintendo Hard, but it’s fun and pretty. In other words, I think Yahtzee was pretty well spot-on.
I might have to download it when I finally get connected to Live after I move in December.
