A Maintenance Post
October 12, 2006 3 Comments
I’m linking to Action Skeptics not just because it’s a good blog, with a lot of thoughtful posts (notably his Beowulf post, which was included in the most recent Carnival of the Godless), but because of a recent post by one of the administrators there, who goes by the name of Akusai. He’s soliciting ideas and he laments the lack of comments on his posts (a feeling I am not unsympathetic to), but I’ve commented twice and received a message that my comment has been saved, and will appear once the blog owner approves it. Naturally, I’d contact him by e-mail, but I can’t seem to find an address listed on the site.
So, hopefully Akusai is a frequent checker of Technorati and whatnot, and he will discover this post and change the blog settings. Because Action Skeptics is a damn good blog, and I’d hate to see it die because he’s got comments moderated and doesn’t know it.
And maybe that will lead to some comments over here, because it sure is quiet most of the time.
Hmm..I’ve never once gotten an e-mail asking me to confirm a comment. I’ll have to play around in my options to see what the deal is. Perhaps I can find yours in there somewhere. This strangeness might explain the lack of comments…Thanks for the link, and the recommendation, and the invisible posts.
Okay, should be fixed now, and dammit, it was all my own fault. Got yours and others posted (man there were a lot, and I’m and idiot) and just turned off moderation for fun. Have at it.
Thanks for the visit! I’m glad to see it all worked out all right.
